Fernando L. Soriano Fernando Soriano is responsible for the firm's corporate advisory and restructuring business in Latin America and Spain. Prior to joining Hill Street Capital, Mr. Soriano served in Salomon Smith Barney's mergers and acquisitions group as head of its Mexico practice and, prior to that, as head of Latin America telecom and media. Prior to joining Salomon, he worked at Lehman Brothers and TD Securities. Since 1994, Mr. Soriano has been in charge of the origination and execution of mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and other advisory assignments, representing many clients in a broad range of sectors, including communications, media, technology, energy, metals & mining, banking, retail, automotive, pharmaceutical and consumer products. Mr. Soriano has also led the execution of capital markets and private equity placement transactions in the U.S. and Latin America, including the largest venture-backed private equity placement for a Latin American telecom concern in history. Mr. Soriano received an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a BS in Industrial and Electromechanical Engineering from Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City.
