Prior to founding Hill Street Capital, Mr. Weisman had an extensive
history in investment banking. He joined Dillon Read in New York
in 1973, where he worked with both domestic and international clients.
He moved to Dillon Read's London office in 1977, where he was appointed
President and CEO of Dillon Read's European operations in 1984.
Mr. Weisman returned to New York in 1993 where he was appointed
a member of the firm's Operating Committee and was head of the firm's
international corporate finance activity with a heavy emphasis on
rebuilding the firm's presence in Latin America.
After the sale of Dillon Read to UBS, Mr. Weisman became the head
of UBS Warburg's Latin American Corporate Finance Group. He has
been actively involved in mergers and acquisitions, financings and
advisory assignments for European, U.S and Latin America clients.
Mr. Weisman has also been involved in the creation and investment
process of a number of venture capital and buy out funds in Europe
and Latin America.
Mr. Weisman received a B.A. from Harvard College and an M.B.A.
from Columbia Business School. He is a fluent Spanish and French
speaker. He is a member of the Board of Overseers of Columbia Business
School and a member of the Advisory Committee of the David Rockefeller
Center for Latin American Studies at Harvard.
He is also co-chairman of the French Institute/Alliance Francaise
in New York.
